This project was to create a Flash-based interface for nine touchscreen kiosks for National Semiconductor's "Innovation Center" at their headquarters in Santa Clara, CA. The task was to create a user interface that was clean in design following the new National Semiconductor website styles, but simple and intuitive to use. All the content for each kiosk is externally loaded via XML for easy updates.
Interactive Timeline
This was an interactive timeline for the National Semiconductor website, later incorporated into a kiosk in the corporate headquarters Innovation Center. Users can learn about important events over the 50 year span of National's existence, plus major events in technology history over the same time frame. An alternate version of this was created in Japanese for National's overseas groups.
In addition to creating a new logo and identity system, I crafted an integrated website for this injection mold manufacturer. One of the feature elements of the site are Flash video "stories" with the owner of the company, explaining their very different approach to mold machining and design. In addition, there is a Flash testimonial module with easily updated video content of satisfied customers.
This is a flash portfolio website showcasing the work of Tomas Tucker, a very talented Director of Photography based in San Francisco. The design for the website needed a very minimalist look. Compact, with minimal click-thru to any content element. Selection of video content is done thru a small grid of thumbnails. Rollover an image changes the grid to a larger image preview of that selection.
The Seerveld Media website is entirely built in Flash with a very compact, multi-tiered user interface to guide users thru the website using very little real estate. Script-driven video and slideshows make up the majority of the content for this media production company website.
I created this motion graphics logo for Buzz Pictures in Flash for use on their website. Buzz Pictures is a San Francisco based film and video production company.
I took the original flat art, and hand animated this. I worked closely with the director and a sound designer to integrate the dense audio track.
In a departure from my typical projects, I was approached by Highway Video to create a series of "MTV-like" Flash music videos. Highway Video creates insppirational media for the modern Christian church. I created 5 separate videos, distributed as download or DVD, to be used by pastors and youth ministers to introduce and inspire discussion of religious topics.
Featured at the top of the National Semiconductor homepage, I designed this flash banner/interface. Rollovers bring up short messages introducing product lines, clicks direct users to specific pages. Image sequence animates on a timer for a set number of loops with auto-stop on any button rollover.
